The Timberholm Inn B&B – A Stowe Inn Original !

Congratulations to Valerie and Michael Blanchard who in August of 2017 purchased the inn from Susan and Tom Barnes.  The Barnes ran the inn for 9 years and purchased the inn through the Hearthside Group.  The Barnes’s are pleased to pass on this wonderful inn to the Blanchard’s who we know will continue to improve the fine reputation of this property in the Stowe area.

This nine room bed and breakfast Stowe inn located on Cottage Club Road within the Town of Stowe, Vermont was built in 1949. The 2 story extended lodge style building is recognized by the Stowe Historical Society as one of Stowe’s very first ski lodges. It is located just off Route 108, one of the busiest tourist routes in the State of Vermont that leads directly to the resort facilities of Mount Mansfield in one direction and to the quaint Village of Stowe in the other. The location is going from great to amazing considering the Alchemist Brewery (Home of Heady Topper) is opening a visitor center in walking distance on the same street.

Gracious Living at Applewood Manor Bed and Breakfast , sold, Castleton, Vermont

The Applewood Manor B&B, Castleton

A wonderful family from Virginia bought the Applewood Manor B&B in Castleton with the intent of using it as their residence.  This beautiful and historic inn was run for eleven years with great success by Ralph Hirschorn and Nancy Cameron.  Guests loved the expansive grounds, the river frontage, pool, and the beautiful architectural details throughout the inn.  There are times when there is a crossover between the residential real estate marketplace and the hospitality real estate marketplace, and this is one of them.   Vermont has lost a wonderful inn but gained a beautiful new young family.

Cornwall Orchards Bed and Breakfast

After a New England-wide search for the perfect Bed and Breakfast, Miles Peterle and Lise Anderson settled on a historic former apple orchard known as the Cornwall Orchards B&B.  They called Wendy and asked her to represent them through their purchase, and she happily agreed.  The inn had been closed a little over one year when its former owners retired.  Lise and Miles look forward to recreating its stellar reputation amid the college crowd and tourists who frequent Middlebury.  The inn has a beautiful setting with lovely views from the breakfast room and the guest rooms.   Miles and Lise plan to reopen the inn late summer.  We wish them the best as they go about setting up this new business venture.

Inn at Ormsby Hill, Manchester

We are proud to have represented Yoshio and Diane Endo in the recent sale of their beautiful property, the Inn at Ormsby Hill.  We had the distinct pleasure of being involved in the transaction when they purchased the exquisite ten room Bed and Breakfast and so it seems fitting that we were able to help them when it came time to sell.  The inn is a spectacular architectural specimen, a property with a long and interesting history.  For the past several years, it has served with distinction as one of Vermont’s four diamond rated lodging establishments.  Jack and Mary Ann Orlando are the proud new owners of the inn.  They have dreamed of owning this type of property for many years, and they look forward to continued stewardship of their beautiful  new home.
