The Inn on the Green is a lovely, historic property with eleven guest rooms, seven of which are located in the main building and four of which are located in the Carriage House. The historic home that now houses the inn dates back to 1803. The Carriage House was newly constructed in 1997 on the footprint of the original building.

All the guest rooms offer private bathrooms, satellite HD televisions, telephones, free high speed WiFI internet access, and air conditioning. Aveda products are used as bathroom amenities.

There is a small one bedroom caretaker’s apartment with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bath. The apartment is accessed by a separate, outside entrance.

While the inn does not have a full, commercial kitchen, a continental breakfast is prepared in the inn’s 2nd floor pantry and delivered to guest rooms each morning. The pantry has a small food preparation area with a fridge, microwave, a small countertop oven and a dishwasher. It also has a staff bathroom.

The inn has a large reception room, approximately 14X18, where guests can gather. There is also a sunny and bright seating alcove on the 2nd floor.

For stellar occupancy, there isn’t a better location than Middlebury, Vermont:

The Inn on the Green has historically run occupancies that exceed 50% thanks to its superlative location. Middlebury has always enjoyed occupancies that surpass those of most other tourist destinations in the State and 2017 showed a +55.0 % annual occupancy rate for the inn.

It is Middlebury College that enhances occupancy by drawing parents, trustees, former students, future students and many others to the area on a regular basis. Many of these guests come to Vermont and to Middlebury at a time when tourists are not otherwise flocking to the State.

Middlebury affords a great lifestyle to prospective innkeepers. The College provides all manner of cultural and sporting events to residents. Lake Champlain and Lake Dunmore are nearby, as are all of the traditional recreational activities that Vermont has to offer like golf, skiing, biking, cross country skiing, and hiking. The restored Town Hall Theater is a focal point for the town.

Middlebury offers convenient proximity to the necessities of life with natural beauty, the great outdoors, and numerous recreational activities being very close by.
