Meet The Hearthside Group – Hospitality Business Brokers
Specializing in the sale of hospitality properties!
Wendy has been firmly rooted in Vermont’s hospitality industry for the past thirty years. After graduating from Middlebury College with a keen interest in languages, travel, and tourism, she worked for several years in the resort business. This work experience was an ideal training ground for the field of hospitality business brokerage as she gained first hand experience in operations, food and beverage, sales, and marketing.
Since 1994, Wendy has been in the real estate business as a partner with the Hearthside Group, a company she founded with business partner, Gary Gosselin. Their expertise in the field of hospitality business brokerage is unparalleled. Through the years, Wendy has acquired the experience and the knowledge to facilitate and close all types of hospitality transactions. Most recently, Wendy has expanded her business and successfully represented a few select residential properties at or near Basin Harbor. The care and attention that she brings to each transaction to ensure the best possible outcome for those she represents is well documented.
She married into the Beach family who now boast five generations of active family management of the Basin Harbor Resort and Boat Club. Basin Harbor is a historic, family run resort with 140 rooms on Lake Champlain. Through Basin Harbor, Wendy remains connected to the challenges and benefits associated with running a hospitality business in Vermont. Basin Harbor recently received the Vermont Family Legacy award by the Grossman School of Business at the University of Vermont.
In 2008, Wendy graduated from the Vermont Leadership Program sponsored by the Snelling Institute. The insight gained into the workings of many Vermont entities and issues was invaluable.
Volunteer work over the years has included years of Board positions at Elderly Services in Middlebury, the Ferrisburgh Central School, and most recently the State of Vermont as an appointed Commissioner on Vermont’s Real Estate Commission.
Wendy and Bob have two children and live at Basin Harbor.
